GMFTS is a founding member of Vermont Way Foods (VWF), a collaboration that began in 2020 in an effort to expand market access for Vermont farmers and producers. VWF’s launch of a certified organic (VOF) produce line has now begun! Starting in November 2022 and continuing into the winter, VWF has been rolling out the brand in partnership with our participating farmers and the operational support of both Food Connects and CAE/Farm Connex. As anticipated, this launch constitutes a combination of a roll out and market testing phase, with the ultimate goal of securing large volume, out of market customers.
Also in 2022, Matt Landi, Managing Director/CEO of VWF, represented VWF in-person at the New England Produce Council show and virtually attended the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts trade show, taking both opportunities to connect with a number of buyers.
