GMFTS Welcomes Two New Team Members

Green Mountain Farm-to-School (GMFTS) is pleased to welcome two new talented individuals to their staff – Edifice Jengo and Kendall Lambert.

Edifice has joined the team as finance coordinator and Kendall as the consumer education and food access coordinator.

“We are excited to add  Edifice and Kendall on staff,” says James Hafferman, executive director of GMFTS, “Adding them to our team is going to help us reach even more Vermonters as we continue to work increase access to healthy, local food in the community.”

Edifice came to Vermont in 2011 from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He attended Champlain College where he earned his degree in accounting. Before joining GMFTS, Edifice worked for the Vermont Interfaith Action, Champlain College, and Danaher Attig & Plante PLC as an executive assistant, finance assistant, and staff accountant, respectively.

“I am so delighted to use my skills and experience for a good cause,” says Jengo, “I couldn’t be prouder.”

Kendall is a Vermont native and holds a master’s in environmental policy from Bard Center for Environmental Policy. Before joining GMFTS, she worked in Oakland, Calif. as the water program coordinator for Community Alliance with Family Farmers and most recently was the librarian assistant at Lake Region Union High School in Barton, Vt.

“I’m looking forward to deepening my connection to Northeast Kingdom Communities and strengthening our local food economy,” Lambert says.
