Northeast Kingdom Celebrates Great Food and Drink

The 8th Annual Taste of the Kingdom, a Green Mountain Farm-to-School (GMFTS) fundraiser, will be taking place February 24 at Jay Peak Resort starting at 6 PM. Tickets to celebrate the best food and drink the Northeast Kingdom has to offer are on sale now at www.GreenMountainFarmtoSchool.org/events.

The 8th Annual Taste of the Kingdom will feature over 25 vendors from Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Guests will be able to enjoy the chance to sample custom-created, seasonally inspired small plates prepared by the region’s top chefs, as well as a selection of fine, local desserts, wine, crafts beer, spirits, and cider. The evening will include a silent auction and live music. All proceeds will support Green Mountain Farm-to-School and its work to promote the health of Vermont’s children, farms, and communities.

“The Taste of the Kingdom is one of my favorite events because it’s a big celebration of all the great food and drink that is being produced and made in the Northeast Kingdom,” says Katherine Sims, executive director, GMFTS, “With all those amazing farms, restaurants, and producers under one roof, plus live music, it’s hard for people to not have a good time.”

The Burlington-based jazz, fusion band, Eight 02, will be headlining the 8th Annual Taste of the Kingdom. Tickets for the event are $50 per adult, $85 per couple, and $25 per child. They can be purchased atwww.GreenMountainFarmtoSchool.org/Events.
