Grow a Row, a project of the Farm-to-School Network, encourages community members to grow an extra row of produce for their local school.

 

Program Goals:

  • Enable schools to serve more fresh vegetables without adding to the cost of their meals
  • Encourage children to eat more nutritious foods by providing tasty, fresh produce for school cafeterias

This summer, we are looking for volunteers to Grow A Row for the following schools: Albany, Brownington, Coventry, Glover, Holland, Irasburg, Jay/Westfield, Lowell, Newport, Orleans, and Troy

Recommended Grow A Row foods:

Carrots
Green beans
Cabbage
Zucchini
Winter squash
Broccoli
Beets
Peppers
Cauliflower
Potatoes
Spinach
Apples
Sweet corn
Tomatoes
Berries

To sign up for Grow A Row:

Print and return our registration form or send an email be sure to include:

  • Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • The school where you plan to take your produce
  • What you hope to grow

After receiving your form, we’ll send you a welcome packet with everything you need to know!
